A STORY THAT STARTED IN 1964

Born in Cesena. Driven by passion.

Moto Milani was founded in Cesena in 1964 by Gino Milani, born into a family already deeply connected to the world of bicycles, engines and mobility.

What began as a small Italian manufacturer soon developed its own identity: motorcycles created with ingenuity, mechanical simplicity and a genuine passion for two wheels.

The first chapter of the story was written by the Furlo, a 50 cc moped with automatic clutch. It was followed by the Spluga, Falzarego and Resia — machines designed for everyday mobility, but already carrying the character of a young and ambitious Italian company.

1969 — THE TURNING POINT

By the end of the 1960s, Moto Milani was ready for something more ambitious.

In 1969, the Cross Competizione and Sport Competizione marked a radical evolution. More powerful, more sophisticated and unmistakably sportier, they transformed the image of the company.

The Cross Competizione became particularly distinctive for its innovative fiberglass bodywork integrating the fuel tank, seat and rear fender into a single sculptural element. Its aggressive proportions quickly captured the imagination of a new generation of young riders.

The Sport Competizione brought the same philosophy to the road, combining lightweight construction, performance and unmistakable Italian character.

Moto Milani was no longer simply building motorcycles for transportation.

It was building motorcycles to be desired.

THE RACING SPIRIT

The early 1970s pushed this philosophy even further.

In 1972 came the Cross 6 Marce, a motorcycle with a stronger sporting personality that became one of the most desirable machines among young Italian riders.

One year later, Moto Milani introduced the Cross Combat: a genuine competition machine developed exclusively for motocross racing. Built for performance rather than compromise, it represented the most radical expression of the brand's racing spirit.

The same period also saw the arrival of the Carrera, a motorcycle that interpreted the style and culture of a rapidly changing generation.

Moto Milani had found its identity.

Light. Mechanical. Competitive. Italian.

THE GOLDEN YEARS

The 1970s became the golden age of Moto Milani.

At its peak, the company reached production and sales of up to 7,000 motorcycles per year — an extraordinary achievement for an independent manufacturer born only a few years earlier in Cesena.

Moto Milani motorcycles became part of Italian popular culture. Their distinctive design, sporting attitude and accessibility made them particularly attractive to a generation discovering freedom through two wheels.

They were more than machines.

For many young riders, they represented their first experience of independence, speed and adventure.

1975 — THE FINAL EVOLUTION

In 1975, Moto Milani unveiled one of the most ambitious motorcycles in its history: the Cross Co.Be.

Developed around an entirely new frame, it featured a highly competitive short-stroke engine producing 12.5 hp at 12,000 rpm, combined with an innovative and sophisticated rear suspension system.

Created primarily for private racers, the Cross Co.Be. represented the culmination of more than a decade of technical experimentation.

The Cross Strada followed in the same period, continuing the brand's unmistakable off-road-inspired identity.

But the motorcycle world was changing rapidly.

By the end of the decade, the market that had allowed numerous small Italian manufacturers to flourish was undergoing a profound transformation. For an independent company such as Moto Milani, continuing the journey became increasingly difficult.

In 1979, the original chapter of Moto Milani came to an end.
